An adult peregrine falcon prepares to land on a lamp post on Duluth's Lake Walk park. Over the past few years, I've observed peregrines frequently in the downtown area. Whether this adult is one that nested on Greysolon Plaza in 2006 is hard to say. This photo was taken in winter, and it is possible that it is of a more northerly bird that migrated to, and wintered in, Duluth, while the nesting pair were away further south.
