This young female was the only one of the fledglings I saw return to the
nest box after they all learned to fly. Barely a week ago, sitting on that perch
terrified the young. Now they are nearly as comfortable in flight as the adults.
The day after this photo was taken, the construction crews (see scaffolding in
back of the bird) moved to this side of the building to continue their work,
which required the removal of the nest box. A new nest box, however, will be put
up soon.
