Mom keeps a careful watch on the photographer. She rarely seemed alarmed
at my presence, mostly because I tried to keep my distance, or remain out of
view. But she occasionally would issue "fair warning" by diving on me
or the one of the construction crew, alerting us to the fact that there must be
one of the young around. With so many ledges and perches on the building, it
wasn't easy to keep track of where all the young were perched, and once in
awhile, someone might inadvertently get too near one.
